Monte Vista Boys Varsity Soccer team for 2006-2007 have earned the North Coast Section Boys Scholastic Class 3A Championship Team Award!!!
There are 171 schools in the NCS, this is an outstanding achievement!

Mayor Shimansky and the Town Council would like to honor the Monte Vista Mustangs on their victory at an upcoming Town Council meeting. The Upcoming meetings is April 3.
The meeting is at the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, it begins at 7:30 p.m.

THE SOCCER NCS FINALS ~ Saturday, February 24th marked a widely celebrated win for the Men’s Soccer team at the NCS Finals. Shutting down California High with a 1-0 final score, this is the second consecutive win by Men’s Varsity for an NCS title. Hooray and congratulations! The team finished the entire season without a single loss (19-0-7). In fact, they have not lost a game since 2005 if you go back to their first NCS championship last year. The team and its coaching staff are to be recognized and honored for the poise, class, and pride they bring to Monte Vista and the East Bay in general. Congratulations!! The Women’s Soccer team played valiantly against San Ramon Valley High but lost 0-2. Please acknowledge the hard work and tenacity of all these dedicated athletes. It was wonderful to see a huge crowd to cheer them on. I’m sure ALL the athletes appreciated the recognition.
