Local Softball Instructors


SGSA is pleased to recommend the following professional instructors who are available to teach your daughters fast pitch softball skills.  Rates vary by instructor.  Please contact instructors directly if you have any questions for them.   

Tina Northcutt Bachinskas.  Tina played Division I softball for University of Texas at Arlington.  She was Pitcher of the Year in the Southland Conference in 1986 and 1987.  In 1986, she led the conference in ERA (0.54) and Strikeouts (173).   She teaches pitching in Southlake and Grapevine.  Tina can be reached at 817-880-4134 or tina@fitpitch.org.  www.fitpitch.org

Toni Goodman.  Toni was named Who’s Who in Athletics and played softball for TAMU. She has played several positions which consisted of pitcher, infielder (3rd, SS and 2nd)and outfield. She has coached girls from t-ball through 14/16u and high school varsity level (5a, now considered 6a). She currently has two daughters playing college softball. Toni teaches pitching, fielding, catching and hitting at D-Bat in Southlake. She can be reached at (817) 251-4902. 

Jim Kuhn.   Jim has coached softball and baseball in the area for several years.   He instructs hitting and fielding for 12u and under.   He can be reached at james_kuhn@sbcglobal.net or (214) 500-8600.

Mike McGovern.  Mike is the proud father and instructor of Alyssa McGovern, who played softball for Carroll Senior High before playing Division I softball for Ole Miss.  Mike has been instructing professionally for over 10 years.  He has been an 18U Gold coach for almost 10 years, and he currently coaches Texas Fusion’s 16U Gold Team.  He teaches batting at his home in Southlake.  You can reach him at 817-401-9402 or mmcgovern1@gmail.com.
