First Form: Gie Cho Hyung iL Bu

Motive of form: This first form is very simple although the basic pattern is utilized in increasingly complex forms;

Creator: Grand Master Hwang Kee ( pronounced-kee)

Date: 1947

Place: Seoul, Korea

Number of Techniques: 22 moves


Hand techniques (1-4)

1. Step Forward with right foot at 45 degree angle to the right, reach to chamber hands on the right side of the body (fist over fist) finish with block punch combination (left hand is open palm black and right hand is a face punch)

2. Step forward with the right foot at a 45 degree angle to the right, reach to chamber hands on the lefts side, center punch with left hand, chamber hands to the right, finish with #1 hand technique

3. Step forward with right leg into horse stance, right hand open palm block. elbow strike with right arm

4. Step forward with right leg into horse stance, perform #3 hand technique, than follow with a turning back second elbow with the left arm.


Kick techniques (1-4)

1. Fighting Stance (right leg back) right leg front kick

2. Fighting Stance (right left back) right leg side kick

3. Fighting Stance (right leg back) right leg roundhouse

4. Fighting Stance (right leg back) right leg turning back kick
