JCYFL Code of Conduct


As a community League JCYFL holds the most high standards for the conduct of our players, parents or guardians, team volunteers, coaches, staff and spectators. Our objective of this organization is to create and atmosphere and culture of good sportsmanship and safe play. Any coach, parent or guardian, volunteer, official, opponent, or Executive Member may initiate an investigation by notifying an Executive Board Member of any incident by players, parents or guardians, coaches, officials, team volunteers or other  members, that they believe violates any part of the Code of Conduct.


PLAYERS

1.0 Use of any form of foul language will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action by coaches

1.1 Players will maintain a positive attitude and accept instruction and disciplinary actions from coaches.

1.2 Players will at no time act in a manner in which another child’s efforts are criticized or belittled.

1.3 Players must participate as guided by coaching staff to reach team goals.

1.4 Players must practice safe methods at all times of participation at JCYFL functions. 

1.5 Players must be present at scheduled times for games, practices, and team functions.

1.6 Players must have all necessary equipment present and on at the start of every function. 

                **Note: Coaches are not responsible for suiting up your child for participation.

1.7 Players will not participate in any type of bullying activity or degradation of other participants.

PARENTS/VOLUNTEERS/SPECTATORS

2.0 Abuse of equipment or facilities (at home or away games) is prohibited

2.1 Damaging personal property of any person of any kind will result in a ban from all season activities.

2.2 Physically fighting will result in immediate removal and a pending suspension.

2.3 Intimidation of others, instigating a fight, or being disruptive/abusive will not be tolerated.

2.4 Abide by any and all posted rules at each and every event no matter the location.

2.5 At no point will any attendee to any function associated with JCYFL attempt to solicit money and/or

                services due to any other purpose other than JCYFL fund raising. 

2.6 Refrain from making demeaning comments towards any player, coach, official, or the League. 

2.7 No swearing, taunting, derogatory comments or gestures or disrespectful conduct toward players,

                opponents, spectators, JCYFL staff, or officials, on or off the field or on social media outlets.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

1. Always be a positive even in the event of loss or frustration.

2. Always encourage those around me and focus on personal and team growth and improvements.

3. Always cheer for our team by team name to not distract or confuse individual players

4. Always reinforce on-field instruction and not counter-act the coach’s instructions.

4. Always follow team rules, including arrival times and attendance.

5. Always refrain from criticizing official’s decisions during games to avoid players to get distracted.

6. Always support JCYFL and become involved by volunteering in any way possible.

7. Provide JCYFL with truthful and correct information upon enrolling my player.

8. Understand that attendance at scheduled events may affect playing time/position in a game.
