BNSUD REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR 2022
In the coming weeks, we will start our 2022 Registration process with the
expectation that the BNS Bluenose Regular season will begin in late May/ early
June as it had prior to 2020.
Over the past few years, BNSUD has learned that we need to better utilize
technology. The BNSUD Board took advantage of a great opportunity last year and
we built our new BNSUD website to better meet the needs of our members and to
allow us to provide more to each individual umpire. As an FYI, we will start our
registration process in the coming weeks.
As in 2021, we will be using the new BNSUD website(www.bnsud.ca) to handle our
registration process and we have made some tweaks on how it will be handled for
umpires returning from 2021. We will be using online sessions that are prerecorded
sessions using what we would have done in the past in our clinics so that we can
better utilize the in-person time for more practical umpiring opportunities –
positioning, calling pitches, repetitions, etc…
With all that, here is a quick breakdown on what you can expect to see for the
registration process in the coming weeks:
1) Go to www.bnsud.ca
2) In order to register, if you are a new umpire or were not registered in 2021,
you will create your own user profile.
3) If you are a returning umpire, please log in and you will need to confirm your
registration information on your profile. If there are changes, got to “Edit my
Profile” and make any adjustments. If not, proceed and click “register”
under your 2022 registration status.
4) Once you are registered, pay your registration – Electronic Funds Transfer
(EFT) is expected and will make the process much quicker for you. If this is
an issue, we ask that you reach out. Payments are to be sent to
treasurer@bnsud.ca
5) Once registered and registration is paid, one of the registration handlers, will
mark your profile as paid and the online learning modules will be assigned
to user profile based on your level registration. There will be modules for all
umpires to take. Depending on the timing, this may take an hour or maybe a
day – depends on our volunteer’s availability. If it takes longer than a day,
please send us an email.
6) For all umpires, your online learning will be done through your BNSUD
profile on the BNSUD website.
