We believe that helping kids succeed is the best description for our organization.  Our programs best align themselves with offering all children opportunities to participate in our programs.  These programs along with coaches, parents, volunteers and community support begin teaching the children of our area fundamental life skills, as they pertain to organized sports, and reinforce seeking out active entertainment instead of sedentary choices (i.e. video games).  We want them to be habituated to entertainment that’s not inactive.  We believe these skills are necessary to make good choices and be productive citizens.

Our programs encourage and emphasize parent/coach interaction with the children of our area.  Statistically, when parents play a proactive role in their children’s activities and decisions, those children are more likely to continue their involvement in that activity as they mature.  Many of our Four Town programs provide the foundation for success in later academic achievements as well as provide a model for values such as teamwork, leadership, following rules and regulations, respect, and overcoming adversity.  This last one is especially important to our area as the median household, family, and per capita incomes of our households all fall below the national averages along with the percentage of high school graduates that live here.  Focusing on the attributes that contribute to success, along with seeking active entertainment helps to break this cycle and contributes to the future progress of our children and community as a whole.  It also addresses the increasing epidemic of childhood obesity.

We are proud to be a partner organization of the United Way
