LIONS ROAR AGAIN IN THE FINALS

3rd consecutive regionals win!   3rd consecutive appearance in finals at nationals!  6th place finish in the nation!  2024 was good to us!

LIONS "ROAR" TO UCA FINALS! 

Congratulations to the team for advancing to finals at UCA High School Nationals in Orlando for the first time in school history!   The team battled against 84 teams through prelims, semis and finals in the Small Game Day Division. 

UCA POCONO REGIONAL GAME DAY CHAMPIONS, 2021

We are overwhelmed after winning the Northeast Pocono Regionals in the Small Varsity Game Day Division!  This team left it all on the mat and went out there and just had fun.  One of the greatest team moments of all time was listening to the virtual award announcements and learning that Penncrest Cheer had won their division at Pocono Regionals!

UCA GAME DAY VIRTUAL NATIONAL FINALISTS, 2021

For the first time in Penncrest history, the Penncrest Cheerleading Team advanced to FINALS and placed 13th in the nation at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Virtual Championships in the Large Varsity Game Day division. In any other year, receiving a bid to UCA NHSCC would mean the cheer team would have taken the mat, in person, in Orlando, FL. Instead, the team videotaped their Game Day routine in early March to compete virtually in the preliminary/semi-final round of the National Championships. More than one year after our nation and the world shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team - like everyone else - continues to feel its impact and adapt to a 'new normal.'

CENTRAL LEAGUE GAME DAY CHAMPS, 2021!

For the first time in the school's history, the Penncrest Cheerleaders are Central League Game Day Champs, 2021! They have also competed in two virtual competitions this season.   The first was in Western Pennsylvania at the “Battle in the ‘Burgh” in which they took 2nd place in the Game Day Division. The other was in the Pocono Regionals which earned the team a bid to the UCA High School National Championships!  

NCA HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, 2020

The Penncrest Cheerleading Team earned a bid to the NCA High School National Championships in Dallas, Texas on February 1-2, 2020. The team advanced to finals in two divisions:  Performance and Game Day and made it to the “Winner’s Circle” during finals in the Performance division.  Our team brought home bronze medals with an impressive third place finish among the nation's top teams in the medium varsity division. Additionally, Penncrest was chosen as one of only 10 finalists in the “Go Be Great” category which is solely based on community service and their work outside of cheerleading. The “Go Be Great” finalists were chosen from over 150 applications for the award.
