This is new information from MVA concerning ID Cards. 

This new process was implemented January 2, 2014.  We (MVA) no longer have the ability to print ID cards or Learner’s Permits locally. These products are now being issued through a central print farm and are mailed from our headquarters office in Glen Burnie.  They are phasing out our printing ability.  This is the first phase.  The final phase will be in April when we will no longer be printing any products (including driver’s licenses) and they will all be mailed.

This is to tighten up security of our products.  Just wanted you to know so they can advise children and parents.  Products are usually received within two weeks of the branches processing.
