50 – 50 INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE:Anyone buying or selling 50-50 tickets must be at least 18 years old

1)Two Ticket buckets, two aprons for money, 50-50 tickets and seed cash are located at the concession stand.

2)Two envelopes containing $20 in singles for the “seed” cash should be in the cash box at the concession stand.

3)Tickets cost:$5.00 for 20 tickets - $1.00 for 1 ticket.Parents selling tickets should prepare several lengths of 20 tickets prior to starting sales.

4)Sales can start at the end of the JV game and ends at the beginning of half-time.

5)One half of the ticket is given to the person buying the ticket; the other half of the ticket is placed in the bucket.It’s easier sometimes to work in teams of two so that one person can take cash and the other hands out tickets.

6)Once sales end the money is counted, seed money ($30.00) is taken out and the remaining amount is split in half.One half goes to a Board member and the other half is given away.The $30 seed money can be returned to a Board member or returned to the cash box.

7)All tickets are placed in one bucket and someone is selected to pick the winning ticket.The game announcer will announce the ticket number over the PA.The person must be present to win.If no one claims the ticket another ticket must be drawn before the start of the third quarter.

8)Buckets, aprons and unused tickets are to be returned to the concession stand.
