We want to announce that tryouts for 2017 Travel Baseball will be held On Saturday, October 15 from 2:00-5:00pm for the 9u-12u players.  This is for anyone currently in grades 3-6, respectively.

A few things to note:

You must be registered before attending the tryout.
 
The tryout process is highly competitive and we do our best to place the boys on the team where they will have the most opportunity for success and to develop their baseball skills.  In undertaking this process, we put in a lot of time and effort to making sure the teams are as balanced and well placed as possible.  We do our best to accommodate and find a team for every person who tries out.  We don't ever like to deny anyone the opportunity to play baseball.  

In conjunction with all of the time and energy we put into choosing the teams and the fact that some kids may not make a team if we don't have enough players to field a full team, we do not offer refunds once the tryouts have been held.  Should we not have a team to place your child on, we would offer a full refund.  

We would like to remind people that Travel baseball is a big commitment.  You are expected to be at all of the practices and games between Memorial Day and August 1.  Your child is taking a spot on the team that another child could have had and thus we believe they should honor this commitment.  

We also want to let you know that teams usually participate in, optional, once a week winter training and optional spring travel leagues to play in, with the team your child is placed on.  We do our best to control the costs for such training but there will be an additional cost to participate.  We highly encourage people to take advantage of the winter training and spring leagues, as these are opportunities for the kids to bond together as a team and get ready for the upcoming summer travel season.

It should also be noted that as a member of a Travel baseball team, it is mandatory that your child play in the Westfield Baseball League spring intown rec league.  This is mandated by Cal Ripken Baseball, which governs our league.  WBL rules futher require your child attend 75% or more of the intown games in order to be eligible to play in the summer.

All players must be registered to tryout. 
 
All those selected for a 2017 Summer Travel will be required to play in the 2017 Spring Intown season.
