(18) Daegu Hurricane
On January 3rd, 2013 a low pressure system was spotted off the Western coast of Japan, heading southwest across the Sea towards Korea. National meteorologists initially thought little of this system, until it began to strengthen at a rate never before seen by human eyes. As he tracked what was now a tropical storm across the Sea an eye began to form in the center of the storm, and winds were clocked at 150 km/h.
Later that day this tropical storm was officially dubbed the Daegu Hurricane. The Daegu Hurricane was predicted to make landfall on January 5th, 2013 with winds calculated to reach up to 235 km/h, stronger than any storm in the history of Korea, Asia and the World. Many immmediately alerted the national media & governments and a state of panic ensued. People were abandoning their homes, fleeing their cities and rioting in the streets.
As the Daegu Hurricane moved towards land, the people of Korea prepared for a force of nature so great that the resulting damage could change their country forever. In a strange course of events, just as the Hurricane was about to make landfall 100km South of Uljin, it turned sharply towards the South East. The people of Korea rejoiced as they were now safe from the power of the Daegu Hurricane. But, they soon realized that the Hurricane was in fact beginning to circle to Sea of Japan.
The Daegu Hurricane is currently traveling counter-clockwise around the Sea, building its strength, and biding its time until March 17th, its new predicted date of landfall. By this time the Daegu Hurricane will be transformed into the most massive, powerful and damaging ultimate team...err...storm in the history of mankind! Get ready ROK-U we're coming for you.
