MONTGOMERY BASEBALL & SOFTBALL LEAGUE                               ANNOUNCES 2026 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM!

The Montgomery Baseball & Softball League (MBSL) is proud to announce its 14^th annual Montgomery Baseball & Softball League College Scholarship Program!  Applications due no later than April 24, 2026!

This annual program provides scholarship awards to financially assist qualified and deserving current and former MBSL baseball and/or softball players attending institutions of higher learning. Each award will be designated for one school year.  It is our intent to award up to three (3) individual scholarships with a combined value of up to $1,500. 

Applicants must have participated in the MBSL baseball or softball program for a minimum of three (3) years, be actively involved with high school baseball or softball or other community-based activities, be of outstanding character and integrity, exhibit leadership, and have demonstrated strong academic performance.  Applicants must submit at least two (2) adult, non-family references and an original essay of 250-500 words describing what the game of baseball or softball has taught them that will help them be successful in their future endeavors. 

Scholarship decisions will be announced at the Montgomery High School Scholarship Night in June 2026.

REMINDER:  THE MCKNIGHT BASEBALL & SOFTBALL COMPLEX IS PRIVATE PROPERTY!

The McKnight Complex is PRIVATE PROPERTY.  It is not a public facility and is not associated with the Montgomery Township or Somerset County Parks systems.  The management and maintenance of this facility is funded solely by the Montgomery Baseball & Softball League (MBSL) through registration fees, advertising, fund raising, and the generous donations of local residents and businesses. 

Use of the McKnight Complex is limited to individuals registered for current MBSL programs and MBSL-sponsored events and groups.  The MBSL reserves the right to permit or deny any individual and/or team access to the McKnight Complex, including fields, batting cages, or concession, seating, and parking areas. 

Use of these facilities for private games, lessons, or training without written authorization from the MBSL is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.  Any unauthorized use of these facilities for such purposes is at the risk of the Trainer/Coach AND Trainee(s)/Player(s).  Any damage or injuries resulting from unauthorized use of these facilities will be the sole responsibility of Trainer/Coach.  Violators will be considered to be TRESPASSING and may be PROSECUTED.
