We were only able to play one game yesterday and 2003 boys looked better. Even though we lost it had nothing to do with our players abilities. Like other games (In most of our age divisions) it was evident that the other teams new how to play the game as a unit / team much better than our teams. This happens because of one reason PLAYERS GO TO PRACTICE.
Unlike some competitive teams out there I won't fire kids(for missing practice) for missing to many practices but do request your help in getting your player to practice.
My referee duties are complete until next year so going forward I will forward a practice schedule for all age divisions. Players are encouraged to attend all our practice no matter what age division is practicing that day. We will also practice on Saturdays / Sundays to take advantage of warmer time of the day / daylight.

One parent asked about practicing indoor. I can arrange that but will require a few from each player due to charges to use indoor facilities Cost is usually anywhere from $50 to $80 an hour. Divided by number of players it averages to about $3 to $5 a player per hour. We have tried this in the past and we ended up having to pay for most of the rental fee. So in order for this to work we would need to collect fees before practice day. The benefits of indoor practice is get out of the cold and we would have light.
