Evening NTX Thunder Parents,

Although we only went 2-3 in games this past week all teams had a chance to win and for the teams that lost either lost by one goal or two goals.
Our 2008 Boys playing for 1st place played a great game but lost by 1 goal and one of the goals against us was very questionable (our player gets tripped from behind inside our penalty box but referee for some reason gave the other team a penatly kick that gave the other team 1 goal).
Our 2006 Boys and... Girls played a good game but game out short and lost 3-1 and 5-3. Although they lost by two goals they were in the game until the end.
Our 2009 Boys stayed undefeated but once again the other team started causing problems because they were losing.
Our 2003 Boys had the most impressive game winning 6-0 but the best thing was they limited the other team to no shots at goal. In fact the only time our goalkeepers touched the ball was with pass backs from our defenders and goalkicks.
They also kept the winning streak going.

There is a 3V3 tournament that will be playing at Winters Field in two weeks(Easter week). We have no games that week with Garland soccer. After this weekend teams don't play again until the 22nd. 3V3 is a small sided game usually played on 20x30 or 30x40 field with small goals without goalkeepers. Only thing roster max is limited to 6 players (we can enter multiple teams within the same division) and we must know (pay) by this Wednesday 04-05-17. The tournament is 1 day starting around 8:00 AM and usually finishing by 3:00 PM. 3v3 is a great way for players to get more touches on ball during game. Cost would be around $34 / $35 a player and players get a free tournament tshirt and usually play 3 /4 games not including playoffs.
Please let us know asap if you would be interested in your player playing. We will take the first players that respond back and pay if we can only make 1 team per division.
