May Dominates in Opener
In the 1st game of the 2017 season, C.R.E.A.M squared off against the upstart Prestige Worldwide crew in a thrilling affair. After being down 38-31 at half-time, player/coach Sooch must have torn a strip of the top of the CREAM as they came out with a more inspired 3rd quarter, dominating the frame 19-7. The game came down to the wire and it appeared that Quinn Peterson had supplied the dagger with a step-back, contested 3 with 1:48 remaining to give PW a 65-62 lead. After a well-placed timeout, C.R.E.A.M’s Thomas Jereniuk picked an opportune time to come to life as he rattled off 6 clutch points to secure the slim 73-71 win. Ryan May led the way for C.R.E.A.M with 23 Points and 13 rebounds but the story of the night perhaps was Cam Bush as he paced Prestige with 12 points while wearing a pair of Crocs. That is, until he had a wardrobe malfunction forcing him to retire from the contest. Quinn Peterson and Lucas Smith led PW with 16 apiece in the loss.
