Game 1 Orioles 14 - Petersburg 4
Orioles had 16 hits in the game 1 win over Petersburg which was cut short due to the mercy rule in the 5th inning. Drew O'neal started on the mound for the Orioles throwing an inning and 2/3 before leaving due to elbow soreness, before giving away to Cole Smith; O'neal had 2 hits, 2 strikeouts and 1 walk, allowing 2 runs. Smith coming on earning the win, going 3 2/3 strong innings, allowing 3 hits, 3 walks, 3 strikeouts and 2 earned runs.Hunter Jenkins who got the scoring started with a 3 run triple in the 4th and added an RBI single in the 5th. Matt Wright, Brent Parrish, and Ben Russell all doubled and singled for the O's; every hitter in the Orioles lineup reached base safely.
Game 2 Orioles 14 - Petersburg 1
Orioles bats stayed hot with another 16 hit performance, in the nightcap sweeping Petersburg. Wade McGee threw a solid outing in his first start of the season, allowing 1 earned run, 2 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings. Hunter Jenkins continues to hit the ball hard picking up 4 singles and scoring 3 runs, Brent Parrish Tripled and singled, while Roy Jefferys had a double, 2 singles and 2 RBI's.
Orioles are now 6-3-1 overall and 5-1 in league play, they host cross town rivals the Titans next Saturday the 17th at American Legion field for a 1pm start time.
