Game 1 Orioles 9 - Old Germans 1
Orioles banged out 8 hits while taking advantage of 13 walks, to win the first game against Mount Savage. Daniel Streitbeck threw 7 innings of 4 hit baseball for the O's, while giving up 1 run, 5 walks , 2 HBP and 9 strikeouts. Brent Parrish led the Offense for the Orioles having a RBI triple in the first and a 2 RBI single in the 5th. Tristan Graeff had 2 singles, Adam Stowell had an RBI single, Hunter Jenkins collected 5 stolen bases in the first game.
Game 2 Orioles 5 - Old Germans 3
Old Germans tried to rally in the 7th, but the Orioles used solid defense to solidify the win of the nightcap for the sweep of Mount Savage. Wade McGee started throwing 3 innings for the O's issuing 3 walks, 0 hits and 4 strikeouts before giving away to Adam Stowell who picked up the win in relief allowing 6 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and 3 strikeouts. Orioles only strung together 3 hits, but took advantage of 4 walks and 4 errors. Bryce Nightengale had an RBI single in the 1st and scored on a pass ball, to put the O's up, then in the 5th inning Orioles took advantage of 3 errors, 1 hit and 1 walk to put 3 more runs up, which was enough to pick up the win.
Orioles are now 10-3-1 overall and 9-1 in league play, Next game for the Orioles is Saturday at Legion Field for a 1pm start time against the Antietam Generals in non-league play.
