Fred and Mac vs Bob and Nick. A stinking hot day in July.  

Fred and Mac started their first match of the year with net pars on the first hole to tie Bob but his par on #2 put his team one up. Mac and Fred came back with pars on #3 to bring it back to even. Bob and Fred split #4 but Fred’s net par on #5 put his team up one. Bob again comes back with the only par on #6 to bring it back to even. #7 & #8 were split with pars but Fred missed a ‘gimme’ putt on #9 to allow Nick and Bob to go one up at the turn.
> Mac explodes on the back nine with a brilliant net birdie on #10 to even it up. Alas, Bob’s birdie on #11 puts us one down yet again. Worst yet, his par on #12 puts us TWO DOWN !! On the path to #13 Fred and Mac dig deep into determination and split the hole with Fred’s par. On #14 the Gervanator makes another outstanding net birdie to cut the ‘Tall One’s’ lead in half. On #15 Nick hits his best two shots of the day to be within 15 feet of the green. It’s looking bad but after a third shot he’s still not on the green and ends up with a par that everyone matches to split the hole. On #16 Bob and Nick make a mess of the hole and Fred sneaks in a net par for the win: ALL EVEN OH LORD!
> Again Mac comes to the fore with a net par on #17 to steal the hole from Bob and Nick, who appear shocked and unsteady. We have the MO and it seems appropriate that Mac again makes a brilliant par on #18 to take the win.
