GPYFA Parents, Guardians and Guest…
As I take the moment to address a senseless killing of a Youth Football coach yesterday in Lancaster Texas, I want us all as parent/ Guardians and guest to understand the definition of sportsmanship and turning the other cheek.
As the President of GPYFA, I am devastated to learn about the Killing of Coach Mike from Texasports organization.
Parents & Guest of GPYFA are to understand that we have a code of conduct for anyone who enters our facility.
Here are a few of our rules:
🔴 No Smoking is allowed on fields during Saturday games
🔴 No alcoholic beverages or consumption will be allowed at GPYFA events
🔴 No profane language will be allow while at GPYFA events
🔴No physical actions or threatening behavior used to conduct business with GPYFA or at events.
🔴 No guns of any kind are allowed at our facility or GPYFA events.
‼️ALL BAGS MUST BE CLEAR TO ENTER GAMES FIELDS!!
Anyone who is asked to leave the fields for violating any of the rules above must do so without incident.
Coaches will not direct players to intentionally injure another player.
Coaches and parents/Guardian will show good sportsmanship at all times and in all situations toward own team and opponents.
As a society we have to do better. This is youth sports and we shouldn't have to bury a love one due the cowardly actions from a few. If you have a problem with these rules, then this league is not for you. The rules are for the adults to keep our kids safe.
Please continue to pray for Coach Mike's family.
Let's have a great year and carry ourselves in a manner that would make all citizens proud.
Thank you
Ira Carter
President GPYFA
