FED REPORT /// WEEK TWO
(May 8th - May 14th)

Rain was undefeated as it wiped out most of the scheduled games for the week. But a few teams were able to sneak some baseball this past week.

 

Apple Valley dodges a late rally from the Snappers and holds on to win 8-5. Tim Scott picked up the W going four innings, striking out six and only walking one – but he did give up two earned. Scott also had two hits and an RBI to help his cause.

The Snappers turned it around a few nights later turning a close game with the Minnetonka Saints into a late game blowout. The game was 1-1 going into the night when turtle power conduced seven runs in the top of the sixth inning. Snappers ended up winning 11-1. Ryan Marshall had two hits, two runs and three knocked in to go with his double. Yulian Oviedo, Rick Aubuchon and Nate Johnson all had two hits each. Jasen Kapaun went all seven in the win.

Apple Valley got a rude welcome in River Falls as the Groupers scored eight in the top of the seventh to win 11-1.

 

The Loons had a good week winning two games, Matt Brekke pitched four innings of two hit ball and Andy Pass doubled twice as the birds won 11-4 over the Minnetonka Mustangs. Brekke also had two hits, two runs and an RBI. Brekke added two more hits in a 4-3 over Burnsville. Ryan Hess drove in two runs and Josh Popp picked up the win. The Metro Loons lead the crowded West Division at 3-1.

 

St. Anthony over St. Croix 9-8. Elko won in extra innings over Lonsdale 12-11. Mike Madison had a four hit, six RBI day for the Jokers in the loss. Capital City wins at Rockford. Eric Hendrickx pitched a complete game for the Rail Splitters. He also went yard in the seventh inning with a solo shot in the 5-3 loss. St. Paul JTs hold off South Metro’s eight run rally to win 13-11. Jon Arenz with two runs, two hits and three RBIs. Mike Wickman with three hits and two doubles. Erik Hill and Josh Conley both homer for the Saints in the loss.

One of the favorites in the South started it’s season on a high note as Lakeville won 12-0 over Northfield. Tori Holt picked up the win going five innings. Tony Schaefer went 3-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Lance Anderson also had three hits for Lakeville.
