Good afternoon SSBHL Group!

We Have made it to the halfway mark of the season! Still a lot of hockey to be played, and lots of time to get back into gear, still anyone’s game!

With that said, let us see who our top performers of the week were!

Offensive annihilation!

1st – Coming in at # 1 this week is Cam MacKenzie! Aka C-Mac! Cam was a man possessed and was determined to rack up the points last Sunday, with his best game of his SSBHL Carrer! Totaling up at 3 goals and 3 assists to finish the day at 6 points! Not only that but Cam played an absolute ton of minutes with his team down multiple players. Regardless, Cam Stepped up and answered the call! Nicely done sir, hats off to you!

2nd – At #2 we have his Cam’s Brother Brendan MacKenzie aka B-Mac! B-Mac was an absolute sniper and scoring machine! He had his way and toyed with the hawks, scoring 6 damn goals! Double Hattrick is not a thing, but B-Mac would have had one if it were! Both Cam and B-Mac were monsters and fed off one another’s play and just went to work! Insane and scary to see what they are capable of!

3rd – In 3^rd I am going to lump the two of them together, Matt Swan and Aidan Lovett. Shocking seeing them here again haha, but how Can I not? These two just know how to get scoring done in spades… Both racked up 6 points each, Swan with 5 goals and 1 assist and Aidan with 1 goal and 5 assists. Both totaling a combined 12 freaking points! So far, it does not seem like any team can hinder this dynamic duo offense.

Dynamic Defenders!

1st – In 1^st place this week we have the Smokey Joes very own Rob Crocker! Rob was a big reason for his team’s success in last Sundays game, he was a force on the defensive end, breaking up lots of scoring opportunities, Blocking shots with every part of his body, and contributing on the scoring end, Gaining in total 1 goal and 3 assists, getting him 4 points. Robs looking revitalized and dangerous this season with the Joes and looks to keep his success going into week 6!

2nd – In 2^nd we have a player who was forced into defense when it is not his natural position but thrived! Thamid Zuberi Crushed it last Sunday with an exceptional performance, helping on the defensive end with holding the blue line, out running the opposition, and also managed to help with the scoring end by getting 3 assists! Overall, magnificent work filling in the defensive holes last week!

3rd – Dan Gately of the Stone Hands was Electric last Sunday, sprinting up and down the rink like a man who could not run out of energy! He engaged in every possible play, breaking up chances, frustrating the opponents, and overall, just being an absolute fiend out on the rink! He also potted a goal to help with the offensive production! Heroic effort, grit, and determination by you Danny! Formidable show of heart!

Tremendous Tendys!

1st – In 1^st for the goalies this week is Nick Bonofiglio! Its great to see Nick back at the top of the food chain! Nick played an amazing match! Facing 40 shots in total and only allowing 1 goal! Nick managed to maintain a grossly good .975 save percentage with a 1GAA. Nicks looking like he is back to his old self and will be looking to keep the ball going with another big win to maintain a playoff spot for the Hooligans! Nice work Nick and welcome back!

2nd – Big Bad Panda, Paul Mendonca is once again in the top 3 of the week with more impressive numbers! Panda absolutely killed it last Sunday and faced 30 shots overall and turned away 29 of them! Also only allowing a single goal and overall gained a delicious .967 save percentage and a 1GAA. Pandas turnaround from last season is incredible to see and his success is without a question surely appreciated by his linemates who know they have a reliable guy in between the pipes! Sick work Panda and keep it going!

3rd – In 3^rd and back in the top 3 is Spiders own Dan Harding, who played a respectable game, facing in total 46 shots and stopped 41 of them, and managed to acquire a .891 save percentage with a 5GAA. Overall, not a bad game, was enough to secure the win for his team.

4th – Hooligans: 2-3-0 / 4 Points / 33 GF / 31 GA / +2 GD         (4th Seed)

5th – Stone Hands: 0-2-3 / 3 Points / 31 GF / 41 GA / -10 GD 

6th – Hawks: 1-4-0 / 2 Points / 18 GF / 43 GA / -25 GD

Last Week, again was dissatisfied with the sportsmanship again, can we please do better this Sunday all? I know we want to win, but seriously, it is not worth it if all people are going to do is fight and argue with one another. Just let the refs call the game, accept it is not going to be perfect, but we do aim to keep improving.
