Parents,

Well it's time for another season to come to a close. The kids did an amazing job this season and can't wait for next season to see them back. Good luck to our 6th graders and hope we get to see you at a middle school game next football season. What part do I start with? For me it's been a crazy mess but I made sure that these kids got a season of football in and wouldn't have changed that one bit.

Let's start with the calendar fundraiser. As most of you know this was for OU tickets and what was left went to helmets for next season. Out of around 50 kids we had only a few turned back in. I have now sent OU 3 emails about getting tickets and they will not respond to me. The organization will be buying tickets for them kids to go to a game. Please get with me via Facebook (MCYS Page) or call/text 740-416-2245 to get the tickets. Parents please note that you will have to pay for your ticket! (Any kids and parent that would like to go to the game please get with me for a ticket)

A Lot of people have asked about equipment return. This date was on the paper everyone signed for Oct 31, 2024. I will be setting up a party for the kids and equipment can be turned in then.

The party we will set for November 9, 2024 5pm at Foxs on the river in pomeroy. Kids will get the chance to relax and hang out with their team and coaches. Kids will receive something from their coaches during this time as well.

Signups….. Yes, that's right sign ups in november!!! To help us get a number for next season ahead of time we will have signup forms for parents to sign their kids up for the 2025 season. This will help us out and you as well with getting this knocked out of the way. If you plan on coming back next season you will have everything but the payment out of the way. Everything will be placed in its own file so it isn't lost during the off season. If you happen to change your mind before the season starts that is fine but we are just trying to prepare for next year and just try and get a head start.

The championship game I posted about and someone asked about it. Yes there is a championship game but Meigs will not be in this. The playoff are starting this weekend Meigs will not be in this. The league only takes the top 6 out of 8 teams, Meigs ¾ placed 7th Meigs ⅚ placed 8th. Anyone that would like information on the playoff as to where they are or who's playing can get ahold of me and I'll let you know. The championship game will be at the Meigs field on 10/27 (again MEIGS WILL NOT BE PLAYING) 2pm for ¾ and 4pm for ⅚. All of our kids are welcome to come watch the games. Please do not just drop your child off unless someone is there with them.

As most know we currently do not have a board (or most think that). Back in the day when we had 12 teams we needed a big board to look over everything. Now we have 2 football teams and 2 cheer teams, There is no need for a big board anymore. From here on out we will be considered an organization not a league. The league is Tri County Youth Football League. This is the group we are in with the other teams. “Board Members” are Kyle Russell (Organization President/Director), Commissioners, Cheer Advisor, & Head Coaches “Organization Members” are Assistant Coaches. Kyle Russell will be taking care of all my past duties along with Treasurer and Secretary duties. I have got an assistant to help me with all my duties if I need it. Jim Porter will be assisting me overseeing the whole football program as Commissioner. Angie Russell will be assisting me overseeing the whole cheer program. Meetings are open for all unless we would need to have a meeting with just “board members”. All meetings are posted on the website and facebook. Meeting minutes over the past 8 months have not been posted on the website due to lack of duties but I will work on them as I get time to do so.
