~Mother Nature & Baseball~

This season is one for the books. Mother Nature & Baseball are not mixing well together this year. Multiple games have been postponed and rescheduled. A few managers and coaches have come to an agreement that Mother Nature just doesn't like baseball. Sadly GJYL isn't the only league having this issue this year. Other leagues are in the same boat as we are. Each time this happens it does damper the kids spirit when it happens. With the way the weather has been, it seems we are slightly behind in the season for the weather as we should of had all this rain in the month of April before the season even started. Managers and Coaches have talked to the board and it might end up that teams play 2-3 days in a row. Everyone is hoping that dosen't happen because families have vacations in July and they don't want the kids to miss out on any games. Lets just hope that the month of June is much dryer so that we can get these games played. So everyone pray and beg Mother Nature to keep the rain away so that these games can be played.  The leagues goal is to have all the games in before the playoffs.
