~Pirates Charities~

Thank You to the Pirates Charity for their support of the Greater Johnstown Youth League. The Pirates Charity gave us a donation to fix our bleachers that were in desperate need of repair. With the donation we were able to get the lumber, nuts, and bolts to get this project under way. Volunteers, players, and parents of the Greater Johnstown Youth League helped prep the bleachers by removing the old boards, scrapping off the old paint, repainting the bleachers and a huge thank you to Mike Burgo, Jim Maser, and Andy Tabek for installing the boards on the bleachers in two days. ~Sunnehanna Amateur Foundation~

Next up we want to thank the Sunnehanna Amateur Foundation for their donation to the Greater Johnstown Youth League. Our league was able to secure a $10,000 grant that helped purchase a brand new zero turn mower, baseball / softball equipment and helped fund a night at the Mill Rats home game on July 5, 2025. The zero turn mower is a big help in keeping the grass cut on the playing fields and surrounding area. The equipment purchased will replace the equipment that has been at our league for quite a few years now. Also with the rest of the grant, it made it possible for our league to attend the Mill Rats Game again this year and was also able to purchase an additional tickets for each kids parent and/or guardian to attend. Again we want to thank the Sunnehanna Amateur Foundation for the donation to our league.
