Hole 1 -  Mike, Rick and Nick on in 3. Rick rolls in a 12 ft par. MR 1up.

 

Hole 2 - No one on in reg. Nick and Rick tie with 1 putt pars.

 

Hole 3- Nick and Rick tie with par.

 

Hole 4 -  Glen, Nick and Mike all in with par.

 

Hole 5-  Everyone struggles to the green. Mike's 5 net 4 wins. MR 2 up.

 

Hole 6 -  Rick plugged near pond and second shot disappeared. Glen down the middle. Nick and Mike right. Nick hits on. Mike and Glen left of green. Nick putts to 14 in. Mike chips on to 15 in. Rick gives Nick his putt. Mike waits but the silence is deafening. Mike makes it. Tie.

 

Hole 7 - Rick right off green. Mike in right trap. Nick and Glen on.  Glen"s 2 putt par wins. MR 1 up.

 

Hole 8 - Glen at the back in 2. Rick  right side off green in 2. Glen 3 putts and Rick 2 putts. MR 2 up.

 

Hole 9 - Mike down the middle. Nick left and Glen right. Rick pop up over the creek. Nick in trouble left after 2 scrambles a shot to back of the green in 3. Rick on in 3. Glen and Mike putting for 5. Rick has a 15 ft putt. He calls Mike over for a read. Rick unsure drills it at the hole and it hits the stick and drops in for a bird. It would have been on the road.  MR 3 up.

 

After nine 3 down most teams would have been totally beat but not Glen and Nick.

 

Hole 10 - Nick on left side in 2. Nick makes 2 putt par. Glen, Mike and Rick are putting for par. Rick and Mike miss. MR 2 up.

 

Hole 11 - Rick on the green. Glen just off. Mike in the trap chips on to 6 ft. Nick and Glen chip on. Rick misses  12 ft birdie putt. Tap in par. Nick makes a 2 ft putt to tie.

 

Hole 12 - All tie with par.

 

Hole 13 - Mike lost ball left. Glen, Nick and Rick on. Two putt ties the hole.

 

Hole 14 - Nick scrambles to the edge of the green in 2. His chip and 1 putt par beats bogey. MR 1 up.

 

Hole 15 - Rick barely over the creek in 2. Glen well over in 2. Mike over in 3. Nick is over but in the hazard right. Nick scrambles once again to par the hole. Match all square.

 

Hole 16 - Three guys stroking. Glen and Rick on in 3. Nick on in 2 and Mike on in 3 with long putts. Nick putts first to 17 inches. Mike having seen the line putts in a 50 ft putt for 4 net 3. Glen misses a 3 ft up hill right. Nick makes his to tie the hole.

 

Hole 17 - Nick and Rick in the trap left in 2. Glen chips on to 4 ft. Mike at the right fringe looking downhill. Rick long out of the trap. Nick out to 2 ft. Rick putts well past the hole. Mike putts to  2 ft. Glen misses right. Nick leaves his putt on the lip. Mike makes another clutch putt to win the hole. MR 1 up.

 

Hole 18 - Glen and Nick in the right trap. Mike on the back hill and Rick back fringe. Nick 2 shots out of the trap on in 5. Glen out and on in 4. Mike chips on in 4. Rick putts down to tap in 5. Match over. MR win 1 up.

 

Well fought match with a good comeback by Glen and Nick from 3 down to even with 3 holes to play.  Nick made some impressive scrambles. Glen had some nice long drives. Mike and Rick made some  good putts at the right time. Gross scores were Nick 78, Mike and Rick 79 and Glen 84.
