Rangers Ride Lindsay's Arm to Fifth Consecutive RRABL 18+ Title

SHREVEPORT, La. – The 2025 Red River Adult Baseball League 18+ Division season was the most tightly contested race in recent history. The Elysian Fields  Rangers, the Shreveport Firedogs, and the Twin City Trash Pandas all finished in a three-way tie as the regular season champions with identical 6-5 records. After tiebreakers settled the seeding, a close 7-5 Trash Pandas win over the Firedogs in the semifinal gave way to a nail-biting 2-1 victory for the Rangers in the finale to close out the hard-fought season.

Elysian Fields pitcher Trey Lindsay hurled a complete game, striking out 17 across nine innings while allowing five hits, five walks and one run in leading the Rangers to their fifth consecutive championship and nine of the last ten overall. His 17 punchouts were a league-high for 2025 and a personal best.

Lindsay only provided half of the stellar pitching on the evening as Austin Stoner was nearly as impressive for the Trash Pandas. The righthander tossed eight innings of two-run ball while surrendering seven hits, six walks, and six strikeouts in the tough loss.

The offensive opportunities were limited for both teams and the game remained scoreless until the bottom of the third inning. The Rangers began a small rally when Morgan Roberts doubled to left field and Collin Eatman walked to put two runners on with no outs. A pick off attempt at second base proved costly as the throw went into center field, allowing both runners to advance 90 feet. A ground out to third base by Michael Crews brought the game’s first run home and moments later a two-out single up the middle off the bat of Alex Woinski pushed across the Rangers second run.

Elysian Fields held the 2-0 lead until the top of the sixth inning when Pandas catcher Austin Mak singled to right field to lead off the frame. After Mak stole second base, Lindsay struck out the next two batters, but Edward Burnett came up clutch with a two-out liner over the shortstop to cut the deficit in half.

Clinging to the 2-1 advantage, Lindsay powered down the back stretch, recording strikeouts on eight of the final nine outs to secure the league title. The Rangers newcomer was named team MVP for his stellar effort on the mound this season, as well as his success at the plate with his .412 batting average and a team-leading 10 RBI.

Catcher Dustin Russell paced the Elysian Fields offense, going 3-for-4 while also calling a great game behind the dish. Roberts collected two hits for the Rangers.

Mak proved to be a thorn in Lindsay’s side for the Trash Pandas, pounding out three hits and working a walk to reach base safely in all four trips. Burnett’s RBI single and a double by Kenny McCarrell were the only other Twin City batters to collect a hit.

The 2025 RRABL World Series title is the 13th overall for the Rangers franchise, who began play in the league in 2001.
