#1 Offensive Player of the Week – Aidan “Nighthawk” Lovett (Mustangs)
There are great games, and then there are games that make people stop and shake their heads in disbelief — Aidan “Nighthawk” Lovett had one of those. In the Mustangs’ tilt against Smokey Joes, Nighthawk was a one-man wrecking crew, finishing with 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists). That’s right — he had his hand in 8 of the 9 goals his team scored. When you’re contributing on nearly every goal your team puts up, that’s dominance on another level.

#2 Offensive Player of the Week – Joe “J-Mac” MacKenzie (Mustangs Captain)

Known for years as a pure scorer, he’s now rounding out his game into that rare two-way forward who can burn you offensively while also breaking up plays and driving possession the other way.

On the rink, J-Mac looked unstoppable — cutting through defenses with speed and power, creating mismatches, and forcing defenders into bad positions. One of his goals came on a rush where he bulldozed through two defenders and still managed to tuck it home. #3 Offensive Player of the Week – Matt Swan (Smokey Joes Captain)
Even in a loss, Matt Swan made sure his presence was felt in a big way. #1 Defensive Player of the Week – Josh Charmatz (Hooligans)
Sometimes defense is about more than blocked shots or takeaways — it’s about leadership. With Captain B-Mack out, Josh Charmatz stepped into the role of game-day captain, and he didn’t just wear the “C,” he embodied it. Josh was a steady presence on the rink, directing traffic, keeping his teammates composed, and shutting down some of the Spiders’ most dangerous looks.

Early in the game, Hooligans built a 4–0 lead, but when the Spiders clawed back to make it 4–3, that’s when Josh’s value truly showed. He absorbed pressure, broke up passes, and made sure the game didn’t spiral away from his team. Defensively, he was rock solid — blocking shots, closing gaps, and always in the right place at the right time. But it was his ability to lead under pressure that truly earned him the top defensive honors this week.

#2 Defensive Player of the Week – Eric “Kinger” (Stone Hands)
You know you’ve had a good defensive game when the opposing forwards leave the rink muttering your name under their breath. That’s exactly the kind of night Kinger had for Stone Hands. A relentless pest from puck drop to final whistle, he gave Stick Figures’ forwards zero breathing room. Whether it was tying up sticks, poking pucks loose, or simply wearing players down shift after shift, Kinger made life miserable for anyone trying to generate offense.

But he wasn’t just shutting things down — he contributed offensively too, tallying 2 assists that proved critical in such a close contest. It’s that balance of grit and production that makes him such a valuable piece of the Stone Hands lineup. Dependable, persistent, and flat-out aggravating to play against — that’s Kinger in a nutshell.

#3 Defensive Player of the Week – Dan Gately (Stick Figures)
Some players look like they’re playing with an extra gear, and this week, Dan Gately was one of them. His stamina and speed were unreal — constantly sprinting up and down the rink, transitioning from defense to offense in a flash. One moment he’s blocking a dangerous chance in his own zone, and before you blink, he’s setting up a play at the other end. His hustle resulted in 2 assists, but the real story was how much ground he covered and how disruptive he was on both sides of the rink.

Sure, he had a couple unlucky bounces go against him, but that didn’t stop him from being one of the most influential players on the rink. For Stick Figures to keep pace in this league, Gately’s relentless energy and two-way play are going to be crucial.

🥅 Grand Goaltending

#1 Goalie of the Week – Jake “Le Gant” Deehan (Stone Hands)
Jake Deehan wasn’t just good — he was flat-out spectacular. Facing 30 shots, he stopped 28 of them, posting a .933 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA. The nickname “Le Gant” (The Glove) couldn’t have been more fitting, as he flashed leather all night long with highlight-reel glove saves that left shooters shaking their heads.

But it wasn’t just the flashy stops — it was the fundamentals. His positioning was perfect, his movement was crisp, and he looked in control every single shift. On more than one occasion, he robbed Stick Figures’ captain with sprawling leg saves that seemed to defy physics. When your goalie is locked in like this, it lifts the entire team, and Jake’s performance was the kind that can swing momentum for an entire season.

#2 Goalie of the Week – Brad “Stone Wall” Wall (Stick Figures)
When you face 48 shots in a single game and still post a .917 save percentage, you’ve earned your nickname. Brad “Stone Wall” Wall was under siege all night, but he stood tall, turning away 44 shots. He kept Stick Figures in it against a relentless attack, shutting down some of the league’s top scorers in Wilde, Coleman, and Merrick.

Though the win slipped away, it was no fault of Brad’s — in fact, without him, it could have been a blowout. His revival season continues to impress, and performances like this prove that Stick Figures can never be counted out when he’s between the pipes.

#3 Goalie of the Week – Manny DeBettencourt (Hooligans)
Manny faced 35 shots and turned aside 32 of them, finishing with a .914 save percentage and a 3.00 GAA. But the numbers only tell part of the story. Time and time again, when the Hooligans were hemmed in their zone and looked on the verge of breaking, Manny came up with the saves that kept them alive.

His ability to stay calm under pressure and make unorthodox but effective stops gave his team the stability they needed. He’s been quietly one of the most consistent goalies in the league, and with the best save percentage in the league right now, Manny’s reminding everyone that goaltending is the backbone of championship teams.
