NEWEST SEASON LOADING…

The best two words in all of wiffleball are coming back; MLW FRIDAYS! The 17th season of Major League Wiffle kicks off this week, back in action at the Meadows. This season marks the beginning of a new chapter in MLW, and we’re determined to make this our best season… EVER! If you couldn’t tell by our 2026 trailer (which is now live on YouTube), we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring in eight determined teams and 51 hungry players, ready for the seven month grind. Everyone is focused on winning the illustrious World Series trophy, marking them the king of the crop as MLW’s top team. With the season itching closer, let’s take a look at how all teams stack up coming into 2026.

Eastern Eagles- Can This New Rotation Be Impactful Right Away?

The Eagles this offseason lost both of their starting pitchers from last year. So pitching became a top priority for Daniel Schultz this winter, and he got two arms he believes were steals. Sarah Huber has been an MLW tournament legend since 2020 and her stats from the NWA League last season shows that she can be dominant. Add in UDFA Aiden Revette and this new look rotation definitely has its work cut out, but on paper looks very promising. Also, don’t sleep on X-Factor Carson Yurgaites as his offensive game started to wake up last postseason hitting 2 HRs and a .893 OPS heading to his fourth season.

Midwest Mallards- Repeating As Champs Is On Their Minds.

For the first time since 2017, the Mallards hoisted their 2nd World Series title. But it is not gonna be an easy task to repeat as top dogs, with MLW’s last back-to-back champs coming from the 2021-22 Diamondbacks team. With Jordan Robles’ retirement, Tommy Coughlin III is asking fellow champions Brendan Jorgensen and Trey Flood to carry the load Robles gave them, both on the mound and at the plate. But a big part of getting the Mallards back to the dance is X-Factor Jake Davey. A sweet-swinging rookie lefty who’s great on putting the ball in play, Davey will create leadoff presence with the hopes of getting the offense rolling.

Downtown Diamondbacks- Is This Championship Window Closing?

One team that has its 2025 roster back in full swing is the Diamondbacks. Everyone knows what this team is gonna bring, superior defense with timely productive offense. Jimmy Knorp will make the trip from NYC to continue being their ace and show why he’s one of MLW’s greatest players. Availability is gonna be key however. Will Nick Saylor, Michael Schema and Casey Bennett be involved throughout the year? Or is it up to Jonah Heath and Jakob Pyszka to control the offense? John Paul Neuenschwander is the X-Factor to watch here. This rookie’s stuff is nasty and it's going to be interesting how MLW hitters react to his style of pitching.

Great Lake Gators- Michigan Best Friends Come Together to Stay On Top.

Out of all the teams this offseason, the Gators were the most impacted. Yet after veterans Chris Cheetam and Jason Chadwick found their spark last postseason (.333 AVG and 1.012 OPS for Cheetam, .292 and .888 for Chadwick), they're gonna need to keep that momentum going if they want to make it to another World Series. The addition of Jordan Kurdi brings lifelong friends together again and Derek Walker is gonna provide more help on both sides. But the X-Factor is Aiden Richard. After two seasons, zero career hits and eight games played, this is finally Aiden’s time to show what he is all about.

Western Wildcats- Time For The 2024 Picks To Step Up.

Patrick Baalman and Ty Frenznick were both drafted with the hopes of turning around a losing culture within the Wildcats. Yet no playoff spot in 2024 and a crushing semis loss in 2025 has not been the road this team had in mind. They’re gonna need Baalman to find more consistency in his at-bats and feel comfortable with himself on the mound. While Frenznick has to finally become their second best hitter, improving on last year's .220 AVG. You know what Kyle Schultz and Liam Jackson will give you, but the rookie X-Factor Cooper Burkel needs to help the rotation as their #2 option while getting needed AB’s when the offense quiets down.

Pacific Predators- Ryan Kracht And Its Best Supporting Cast In Years.

The Predators have had ups and downs since their only title in 2019. One World Series appearance and embarrassing semi-finals losses has put the pressure of Ryan Kracht to keep being his MLW self. But this year is different, as the Predators will have a full-season of Justin Esch and Drew Davis, who made immediate impacts at the course of last year’s playoffs. Solid contributions from Levi Fleer, Alec Warda and Brennan Russell offensively are definitely expected, but the X-Factor here is Evan Porter. Can Porter improve from his 2025 rookie season of a 3-2 record and 2.60 ERA as they need their second arms to keep them in games.

Coastal Cobras- Is This Team Capable Of Going Worst to First?

The Cobras are now the only MLW franchise without that coveted World Series crown. And 2026 starts a new chapter with Caden Irwin taking over as manager after Drew Davis’ departure. This team still has its veteran presence in Andy Durand, Brendan Szerlag and Sean Flynn, who all need to step-up offensively and not get themselves away from Caden’s brilliant pitching displays. The draft picks of Aiden McCarthy and Connor McCann can instantly make this team relevant again, but it all comes down to X-Factor Cole Kwiatkowski. If his overall game improves from last season, don’t be surprised to see the Cobras this year in the playoffs.

Metro Magic- First Year Manager And The Youngest Team In The League.

With 2023 World Champion Jack Aigner retiring, the Magic are now relying on 4-year player RJ Walgate to lead this team back to the postseason. And surrounding RJ is a group of players that together make up the youngest team in MLW; yet all play like experienced veterans. Can Johnny Dembowski, Cooper Schoch and Liam Porter bring forth play good enough to be legit contenders? Yet the X-Factor here is the 2nd season of Brady Pearson. After hitting .265 with 4 HRs and an 1.036 OPS, the Magic are asking for Brady to bring forth a different animal in him for 2026.
