Westfield: Playing on the fancy digs of Westfield State College, home of former Tornado great Travis Nally, the Malden boys' basketball team fell to Westfield High School in a rematch of the two teams' scintillating opening night game won by Malden. Terrance Maissoneuve, after scoring a whopping 43 points, was held to just 13 points in the rematch.
Westfield jumped out to a big early lead and the Tornadoes were forced to play catch-up for much of the night. Freshman Anthony Gilardi matched his career-high in points with 16, to go along with 10 rebounds in the loss. The loss, the 3rd straight for the Tornadoes, drops the team to 7-9 with just four games remaining. Malden will need to win 3 out of its' final 4 games to secure a state tournament game.
