As the season opener approaches, Frosty Dawgs management has increased their contact with roster members to determine the availability of this year's squad. CFO Nicky "I GOT IT" Harrison, in tandem with Coach Tony "Hustle" Freddo have united in a virtual tag team to collect team fees. CCD/Senior Advisor Greg Kalina, following several internal holdouts over concerns regarding the team has issued a full statement of support for the team and its side business.
Other updates on team members include big offseason acquisition Al "Big Papi" Schmidt, who is currently battling a minor injury right now, but plans on being ready opening day. Frosty Dawgs management has been under some scrutiny over the overpayment of Big Papi's one-year deal and this injury. Tom "GQ/TK" Kalina has gotten off to a good start in the Spring by blasting a ball across Sunrise Highway at Freeport HS last week. PED tests have been suspended this year by order of the team's new Union chief - Nicky "I GOT IT" Harrison.
Joe "Stats" Gonzalez, fooled by last week's April Fools joke, has unfortunately taken a rescue role on the Frosty Dawgs. Joe plans on devoting more focus towards more important items -- like other softball teams.
Big Pete Apostolides, fresh off Jenny Craig, looks to dominate this season in the Nassau ABA league. Big Pete in last year's limited action hit something in the neighborhood of 15 home runs in eleven at-bats. Never done before and never can be done again.
Joe "Dead Pull" Musalo has been his wishy-washy self over the past couple weeks and we hope to see him in a Dr. Troise's Frosty Dawgs t-shirt in two weeks. Other Frosty Dawgs not mentioned above will be picked on as the season continues. You may bet on that.
Stay tuned!
