Fired-up Frosties put away the 495er's

In a way-too-hyped and serious game for week two of league weeknight softball, the Frosties came out firing from the start and took two big wins by scores of 33-16 and 21-10 at Mitchel Field last night.

A brief altercation in the bottom of the first involving the Frosties' biggest fan backfired as the Frosties all of a sudden became focused and fired up and then let the bats and the gloves do the talking.  One of the Frosties weaknesses is lack of focus at times.  This straightened us right out.

Frosty bats were on fire.  Big performances by Artie "Bat Party" Maisano, with a perfect night at the plate including two tape-measure blasts, John "Woodness" Woodworth with a near-perfect night at the plate including five RBIs, James "Jim Bean" Bienick, who had his breakout performance with some big hits, Tom "the Chair" Frem with a 5-5 game one, Chris "I got jokes" Catania, who is on fire, Coach Freddo and Big Pete with bombs, as well as Brian "Casino" Goerke with a strong lead-off performance and two excellent pitched games.

Next week's game is scheduled at 8:15pm at Shell Creek in Island Park.  Tony will be opening up a Park and Ride from his house for anyone interested.  See you there!
