June 8, 2011

After a long recap absence, the CCD has returned from vacation and will continue to provide you the latest news in Frostyland going forward.
The Frosties split with a retooled Venom squad last night at Venetian, winning game 1 26-17 and dropping the 2nd game 13-12. Frosty bats, as usual, only came alive in a few big innings, and while it was enough in game one, the Frosty bats fell short in game 2. Highlights of the night include the "dirtiest player in the game" Brian "the Assassin, the Master of Disaster, Casino" Goerke getting into the middle of things yet again with some strung-up guy on Venom who Brian completely took out of his game. Brian added 6 hits on the night and held down the fort in game one on the mound. The return of Steve "Rescue Eagle" Thompson paid off nice dividends with 6 hits of his own. The CCD is on fire at the plate and has not gone through any extended slumps by jacking out 3 home runs. Chris "PBJ" Catania is making a case for comeback player of the year with ropes all over the field. Glenn "TBA" Grapael also had a hot night at the plate with 6 hits of his own.
The Frosties secure first place at look to next Thursday at Fireman's Field versus Duffy's Wing House. News is the Assassin will not be there but this is not confirmed. Please stay tuned!
