Although the Frosty bats showed a bit a rust last night, the Frosties took care of business knocking off TJ Finleys in both games to improve its record to 16-6. A humid night, dead ball, and 100 ft bases kept the scoring down as each team had to focus on pitching and defense.
Game one saw the Frosties battle back from a 10-4 deficit putting up 9 runs in the sixth to win 13-10. Lou "the Natural" Ohle, Coach Freddo (in rental cleats), and Dom "the unmasked Patriot" Toscano led the offense with three hits a piece. The CCD launched a home run and knocked in four.
Game two saw Brian "the Master of Disaster" Goerke pitch lights out, allowing just one unearned run. Lou "the Natural" Ohle played the best lefty third base on the Island. The Frosty offense was flat but did enough to take game two 5-1.
The Frosties move onto next Thursday as they close their regular season against last place Venom. Brian Goerke is in. Sal Seeds won't stop talking about this game which makes the CCD nervous about his home run lead in the stats. Please stay tuned.
