Frosties BURY Venom

August 12, 2011
The Frosties did as promised and buried Venom at Fireman's Field last night by scores of 26-0 and 14-10.  The Frosties ended game one in four innings and then coasted game two for the season finale to end their season at an impressive 18-6.

Game one saw an historical pitching performance by Sony "Batman" Singh, who, according to official Frosty statkeepers, threw a no-hitter - allowing only one baserunner to reach on error.  The CCD attempted to convince the Island rent-a-scorekeeper to erase his ruling but to no avail.  With their crappy scorekeeping who cares - the Frosties officially recognize the no-hitter and it is now in the record books.  Hitting wise - Frosties were on fire.  Tom "TK/GQ" Kalina turned back the clock and ripping four hits including a bomb to right center.  Glenn "GG" Graepel bookended his home run totals with a granny to left and Tom "the Chair" Frem put one in the basketball courts,  All other Frosties had multiple hits in game one as the Frosties dominated.

Game two, with a distracted CCD taking in late pricing files for work, the Frosties took care of Venom 14-10.  The Frosties knocked out five home runs - Coach Freddo, Tom "TK" Kalina, Sal "Seeds" Mancuso, Artie "Pants" Maisano, and Al "Manny" Schmidt.  Sony "Batman" Singh again held down the fort pitching and allowed the CCD to come in for the save after he bellyflopped over first base the inning prior.  We also saw the return of John "Woodness" Woodworth from the DL who immediately greeted Venom with a rope to center.

Frosties are off next week and all indications are a matchup against TJ Finleys in the first round of the playoffs Thursday, August 25th at Firemans Field.  17 Frosties have confirmed IN.  Good God.  This should be interesting.  See you there!
