The use of cards (green, yellow, red) by the officials for fouls:

Green: player serves 2 minutes out of game; Yellow: 5 or 10 minutes out of game; (depends on severity of foul; RED: suspended from game AND the next game the following week. Any flagrant fouls is a RED card and immediate suspension from game and next 2 games; Example: fighting

When a player gets a card, that team will play short for the duration of the color of the card.

THE OFFICIALS WILL USE A GREEN CARD IF PLAYERS DELAY THE SELF-START BY NOT GIVING THE 5 YD DISTANCE. This occurs when the opponent of the self start (free hit) is not given at least 5 yards distance from playing the ball on a Free Hit. Usually there have already been verbal warnings prior to the card being issued. A warning to a player is a warning to her TEAM as well. Issue of a green card is first penalty, then yellow card (5 or 10 mins). Cards also used for rough/dangerous play or other delays in game.

CONDUCT OF COACHES: Coaches can also be issue a card for their unsporting conduct. The team will remove a player to serve the time for the penalty. If a coach receives a RED card, coach is EJECTED!  Coach MUST LEAVE the vicinity of the field. If there is no coach available to coach, the game will end.

CONDUCT OF PARENTS/FANS: Coaches are responsible for the control of their parents and fans. Parents and fans may be asked to leave the field area if they cannot control their behavior. Parents and fans should enjoy seeing their children play and have fun. Officials will card the coach of the team whose spectators are engaged in unsporting behavior.
