The basketball Gods shone on us this season and gave us the 2 undefeated teams remaining in the final regular season game to decide sole possession of 1^st place. The intensity was elevated right from the opening tip and it was clear both teams knew what was at stake. Shaqtin’ Fools led 48-30 at halftime before C.R.E.A.M came roaring back in the 3^rd to narrow the gap to 7 heading into the 4^th quarter. They battled back and forth and the game was within reach in the final few minutes. The inability to capitalize on some opportunistic open 3-point looks down the stretch was the back-breaker as the Fools held on to a slim 75-70 win keeping the undefeated season alive. Ryan May led all scorers with 26 in a losing effort while the Fools’ tandem of Sheldon Pittman and Jono David each notched 16.
