Perfection Secured

After a story-book undefeated run to the finals, Shaqtin’ Fools were set to square off against StickMen for the coveted Spring League crown. They would have to navigate through the final match with 30 points per game absent from the lineup in Todd Bergen-Henengouwen and Jono David. It didn’t seem to matter as they exploded to a 28-14 1st quarter lead and never looked back, topping the StickMen 92-68. After struggling to find his rhythm much of the season, veteran guard Lyndon Annetts shone when the bright lights were on leading the way with 24 points. Teammate Sheldon Pittman found his range in the 2nd half with 20 points on the night. Once again, Jeff Sampson played the role of unsung hero with 10 assists and 8 rebounds with Marcus Shafer chipping in with a relatively under-the-radar 14 points. Congratulations to Shaqtin’ Fools on the Spring League Championship.
