Frosty Dawgs beginning to emerge from the pack

July 2, 2008 – 07:20 AM
The Frosties continue their winning streak taking two more from the Headbangers at Mitchel Park last night by scores of 17-16 and 13-6.

The Frosty bats -- flat all night -- got the hits when they mattered, played solid defense, and took the extra bases when it mattered.  Highlights included bombs by Brian "the Assassin" Goerke, Coach Freddo, and Chris "Vernon Gloston" Catania.  Special recognition has to go to the excellent third base defense by Rob "the Regulator" Goerke -- doing it in front of his friendly fan base.  Big multiple hit nights by Anthony "Boom Boom" Bruno,  Tom "the Chair" Frem, and Nicky "I GOT IT" Harrison.  Nicky has certainly responded to the CCD's genius move of putting him back in the leadoff spot.  In fact, the CCD himself is now boasting a 8-0 record when putting together the lineup under normal conditions.  The parking lot turnout after the games has also been impressive.

The Frosties have a big stretch of games ahead against the top teams in the division, determining their playoff hopes in a wild league.  Next game right now is against Aqua Lounge Tuesday at Mitchel. Win two here and we've pretty much sealed up a playoff spot.

Where is AJ?

See you there!
