Shocker: Frosties stale with bats game one, come back strong game 2

April 30, 2009
Well - the Frosties do what they always do - start out flat to open the season and then begin to start hitting.  After a quick start three runs in the first inning of game one, the Frosty bats went south, managing just one run the rest of the game and dropping a run-rule loss to Pipe/Aqua 16-4.  Defensive miscues led to an open-floodgate 5th inning that put the Frosties away.

Game two the Frosties responded.  Putting up runs every inning, the Frosties run-ruled Aqua 24-12.  Big bombs by Big Pete Apostolides, Artie "TBA" Maisano, Tom "the Chair" Frem, Coach Freddo, the CCD, and Joe "Dead Pull" Musalo led the charge.  Gino "the Surgeon" Gaeta had three hits, and Brian "Casino" Goerke held the Aqua side down.

The Frosties look to next week against another familiar foe in the Cougars.  9pm Wednesday at Mitchel Field.  We hoping to get back two key players in Anthony "Boom Boom" Bruno and Nicky "I GOT IT" Harrison, although both may be doubtful.  We just ask you to stay tuned.
