On a damp, soggy night at Jones Beach, the Frosties brought their "D" game and took two from cross-divisional opponents Balls Deep last night by scores of 15-3 and 26-25.

 

Game one saw Brian "Casino" Goerke shut down the opponent and the Frosties just chipped away until eventually run-ruling Balls Deep.  Bombs by Lou Ohle and James "Beans" Bienick led the way.

 

Game two was a horror show.  The Frosties easily surpassed their team-record for errors.  After a big bottom of the sixth inning putting the Frosties up 3 heading into the top of the seventh, the Frosty gloves allowed three consecutive fly ball errors, led by Nicky "Luis Castillo" Harrison and Joe "Daniel Murphy" Musalo.  This allowed Balls Deep to eventually go up by 5 heading into the bottom of the seventh.  The Frosty offense responded with big RBI hits by Artie "Pants" Maisano and Tom "the Chair" Frem.  TK then hit a walk-off rope to score the winning run.  TK then proceeded to elbow Joe M in the face.  Joe M was injured on the play.

 

We move on to next Thursday versus the Iron Horses at Mitchel.  Expect a very tough opponent as they will likely call some ringers down.  The CCD is OUT for next week.  I love it!  2 1/2 year consecutive game streak over (pending rainout)!!!
