Woody goes BOOM

The Frosties battled LI Militia in two back-and-forth contests last night in Baldwin resulting in two big Frosty wins.  With the wins, the Frosties now sit on top of the leaderboard for the coveted runner-up trophy of ABA Division 1.

Game one saw the Frsoties jump out to a big 17-1 lead.  LI Militia chipped away each inning, but the Frosties continued to keep piling up the runs as well.  Frosties won 31-29.  Big games for Artie "Pants" Maisano with 3 home runs and nine RBIs, Coach Freddo with a 5-6 performance and two home runs, Glenn "Rescue Dawg" Graepel with four hits, "Patriot" Phil Toscano with a perfect game at the plate, including a home run, Chris "PBJ" Catania with three ropes, John "Woodness" Woodworth with four hits, Brian "the Assassin" Goerke with five hits, and Tom "GQ" Kalina with a bunch.  The CCD went a disgusting 0-5, however he offered plenty of excuses including fake injuries, lights, too much rest, no money, geese, Patriot Phil, etc.

Game two was a time-shortened win for the Frosties.  Tom "the Chair" Frem had three jacks and six RBI to lead the Frosties.  One of the biggest moments of the year came when John "Woodness" Woodworth crushed one over the fence in left-center and then followed up with another two line drives afterwards.  Woody is on fire.  Patriot Phil held down the LI Militia bats and the Frosties took game two 20-18.

We move onto next week against the Destroyers Wednesday night at a location and time to be determined.  Coach Freddo will take on the details from here.  Stay tuned!
