Registration for tryouts for the four Haverford Heat American Legion Baseball teams, (Preps/Sandlots/Juniors/Seniors), has begun.

All registering players must be residents of Haverford Township.

The Heat offers the following teams:

• Preps (players who just completed their 12-year old season with one of the Township's 12-under programs and who are already 13 or will turn 14 at any time during the 2020 calendar year.)

• Sandlots (players who will turn 15 during the 2020 calendar year.)

• Juniors (those turning 16 during the 2020 calendar year) 

• Seniors (players who turn 17-19 during the 2020 calendar year.)

Any player fitting these age brackets and wishing to tryout, should register now at our website www.haverfordheat.org

You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your registration.

NOTE: Senior players will not have tryouts until April but should register now or by mid-March in order to be placed on the email distribution list for information.

All Preps, Sandlots, and Juniors will have indoor tryouts on Sunday, February 9 and on Sunday 23, 2020. The tryouts will take place at the Maple Zone on those two dates from 6pm to 8pm. The Maple Zone's location is 1451 Conchester Highway (Rt. 322) Boothwyn, PA 19061. A tryout fee of $25 will cover both sessions, (please bring the $25 fee to the first tryout session - cash or check.  Checks should be made payable to Haverford Heat.) This fee is to reduce the rental cost of the facility to the Heat. There will be other tryout sessions after the Maple Zone tryouts. Those sessions will be announced at the time of the tryouts. Players should plan to arrive at Maple Zone no later than 5:45pm to begin the check-in process.  Each player will be assigned a pinnie with a number which they will wear on their shirt.
