Hayward United Finishes Off Boomerang Energy

Hayward United played a great game, finishing off last year's DASL champions, Boomerang Energy in a 4-0 tilt.

The Wolfpack started the game fast, scoring off of a fast break up the right side in the 2nd minute. Cole Gewerth put in a great ball, with Siji Gonzalez finishing the cross. The rest of the half would be riddled with back and forth action, with both sides creating little.

The second half was dominated by Boomerang Energy for the first 20 minutes, with the Energy taking 14 shots on the day, with only 5 finding the frame. The scoring broke open on a 64th minute goal by Kaden Bergman, with the assist going to Cole Gewerth. Bergman scored again in the 78th minute, nutmegging the Boomerang keeper off of a deflected shot by Ethan Wolfe. The scoring ended on a beautiful cross by Bergman, put in calmly on the back post by Isaiah Heyworth. Cole Bergman completed the shutout with 5 saves.

Manager Kaden Bergman was very happy with the result, citing having a full team and putting away chances as the keys to winning the game.

The Wolfpack will look to keep the winning streak going as they take on Eau Claire Heat FC in WPASL action on Sunday, June 2nd.
