Cartersville, GA - The Summer Hill Post Grad Athletic Program will see a renewed focus for the 2017-18 year. The program's athletic teams have seen minimal involvement over the last nine years, with basketball teams playing a limited schedule during the course of those years. 

The 2017-18 seasons will see the men's basketball program increase scheduling to a full season slate, playing games against 2-year colleges, 4-year JV programs, club and military teams, as well as other post grad and prep teams. The men's program will potentially field two full teams during the season. Additionally, the men's basketball program is looking to join a newly formed Georgia Post Grad Athletic Conference, which is currently in the developmental stage. Joining a conference will set the tone for a fully involved basketball season, with an intended purpose of playing for a championship.

Melissa Bunce-Winters, who has served as the coach for both the women's and men's basketball teams in recent years will continue her role with the women's program, while David Archer will return as the men's coach for the 2017-18 season. Archer spent the last nine seasons as the men's head coach at Chattahoochee Technical College, where the athletic program has recently been discontinued.
