On Senior Night, Victor ties Pittsford 4-4 to remain unbeaten

On a night celebrating the 10 graduating seniors, Victor tied Pittsford 4-4 to remain unbeaten (http://pointstreak.com/prostats/gamesheet_full.html?gameid=3250823). In a tightly called competitive game of rivals, Ashton Collazo opened the scoring early in the first period on a nice move on a penalty shot awarded. Pittsford tied it up at 1 scoring in the 8th minute of the period, but Victor closed out the period up2-1 as Alex Hernandez scored on what is becoming his trademark snap shot to the far post off the right wing.  Pittsford scored two to end the second period, taking a 3-2 lead into the deciding third period. Though Victor quickly answered as Connor Gelabert scored a power-play goal in the opening minute of the third, it was short lived as Pittsford went back up by a goal a minute later. Lukas Miller got the tying goal with a little over 4 minutes remaining, scoring the second Victor power-play goal of the night. Victor had chances in the overtime but couldn’t push it past the Pittsford goalie. Victor next plays Rush-Henrietta (10-8-1) on Thursday, Feb 8 at 4:45 at Scottsville Ice Arena.
