October coaches meeting

Board members present:  James C, Colin B, Bryan D, Erin R, Jamie S, Helen I, Kathy B, Stephanie B, Meghan F

I.      Meeting started at 7:12

II.      New business

a)      Coaches vs Referees end of season game- motion was presented not to play this game this year due to COVID regulations- motion passed- game will not be played.

b)      Sponsor plaques, coach pictures and thank you notes to be distributed – please take your copies and if you are willing to deliver the sponsor plaque take that as well, address is on the thank you note envelope

c)      Night at Carousel – a sponsor of ours has reopened for business if looking for something to do with the family

d)      Request shirt size during registration – for coaches as well as players

e)       Player rankings—ask coaches to submit the rankings to the registrar- email will be sent out with new ranking system (follow Mass Youth Soccer ratings) for coaches

f)       Sponsor discount for fall 2021 (early bird?)

g)      COVID safety for winter

h)      WMS indoor small gym over winter? Liability of...

i)       Jaxon Field dedication ceremony- Stephanie McKay, Steve Murray and Jamie Sousa are trying to work out the specifics with the dedication.  Plaque will be put on the fence at the fenced in field.

j)       Winter soccer clinics/leagues

k)      Grade 3/4 coach elections- still waiting on Jenna to send rosters, once sent give specific date/time for coaches to notify the teams by. 

l)       Push through the COVID regulations for the last few weeks.  We are doing great!

m)   Motion passed to extend the fall season to 11/7 due to the rainout on 10/17.

n)      Hand sanitizer is still available for coaches if they need it

o)      Spring uniforms from last year are still okay to use from Mass youth soccer.  Working on a WH uniform for the grade 3/4 teams. Mass Youth soccer has approved the new logo for the shirts.
