McKnight Complex Remains CLOSED!

Dear Baseball Community,

We remind the community that the McKnight Baseball Complex remains CLOSED until further notice. No one is permitted to enter or use the facilities at this time. McKnight Baseball Complex is Private Property and is not a township park or field.

Please continue to encourage all children, neighbors and friends to adhere to these restrictions until stay-at-home orders are lifted and we are able to return to the Complex again.

Please note that the league is subject to violations, penalties/fines and potential LOSS OF USE of the facilities, if we are not in compliance with all current township, county and state requirements.

Thank you and stay safe!

MBL Spring Rec Baseball and Softball Canceled

Updated May 17, 2020

Along with you, we have been following the latest news and guidance from the town, state and federal authorities. At this time it is with great regret that we have decided to cancel the Spring Baseball and Softball Recreation seasons. Governor Murphy's decision to close the schools for the remainder of the year, the unknown time frame for opening fields and above all, the safety of our players, coaches, and families have informed this decision.

We continue to consider ways to configure Summer and Fall sessions that accommodate any new guidelines and social distancing recommendations. We will keep you posted in the coming weeks. Any new sessions will have new registration links and rates.

We know that canceling the spring season is difficult for all kids as they are excited to get out to play. The league is also challenged since MBL is a registered non-profit 501(C)(3) organization funded primarily by registration fees. Montgomery Baseball League is different from many youth sports programs in town and the region in that we have our own baseball facilities to manage, maintain and operate and is not funded by the Township of Montgomery. MBL has taken actions to reduce our expenses but the league is still faced with significant expenses. We ask members of the community to consider donating all or a portion of the registration fees as a tax-deductible donation. The league will issue registration refunds at your request less transaction and credit card fee. However, we would also like to ask anyone with the means to consider offering their registration fee to the league as a tax-deductible donation.

MBL will be emailing registered families with options to receive either a refund or donate their registration fee to the league. If you have any questions, please send an email to montgomerybaseballnj@gmail.com.

We would like to thank everyone who reached out with encouraging words during this difficult time. We want nothing more than to see the kids on the fields again soon playing baseball and softball, having fun, forging friendships and enjoying a game that we all love!
