2021 Scholarship Recipients

On behalf of the scholarship committee and the entire Lehigh Valley Softball Umpires Association, I would like to thank everyone for applying for one of our five awards.
We had a very strong and impressive set of applicants this year and selecting the five recipients was extremely difficult.  Many hours were spent reading and discussing each applicant’s academic, softball and school, community, and work resume.  Each one of you should be proud of your four years of high school involvement and achievement.  The Lehigh Valley softball community is fortunate to have had such an outstanding group of student-athletes.
In the end, the committee’s task was to select only five seniors from the deep list of twenty-six outstanding applicants to receive the $800. scholarships.
At this time, we would like to announce this year’s five recipients selected for the 2021 awards:

Jade Hofman, Freedom
Lindsey Nemeth, Northampton
Madison Smith, Pocono Mt. East       
Matison Piripavel, Freedom
Zoey Ritter, Southern Lehigh

We would also like to congratulate all of you for your outstanding careers as softball student-athletes and thank you again for applying for our LVSUA senior scholarship.  We hope that you will continue to grow beyond the successful women you have become, receive an outstanding post-secondary education and always be part of the Lehigh Valley softball community.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2022 SCHOLARSHIP'S WINNERS

The Lehigh Valley Softball Umpire’s Association was founded in 1999. Our mission is "To develop among all softball umpires a thorough understanding of the rules and mechanics of Softball umpiring as officially adopted and published by the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations (NFSHSAA); as directed by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA)."

Any person having just passed the PIAA written exam or transferring membership from another Chapter may join by paying the current year’s dues to the chapter treasurer, made payable to LVSUA.
