*** HAPPY NEW YEARS ***
It has been a pleasure and a wonderful experience as a woman to run an all-male
Semi-Pro Football team. After seven (7) years, the Arlington Bulldogs has decided to suspend
the 2017-2018 football season. After the death of our son, we really haven’t had time to mourn our lost,
we jumped right into the season. During the off season, an evaluation of the organization took place, it was
decided that it was time to reorganize, restructure and recruit. Since 2009; the Arlington Bulldogs has never
missed the opportunity to show any team what the Bulldogs are all about despite our record and despite
the negative talk. Since then, the team has earned the reputation of being a close-knit family, being a
team with heart and never giving up, also the team with great looking uniforms as well as respectfully
players. You would think that local athletes would be beating down the doors to be part
of something with the potential to be great, with all the key components in place, but that's just not
the case this season.
There are several new local football teams that have saturated the Metroplex in additional to all the old football teams in the area that all play around the same time. What convinces the players to not play for the Bulldogs and join our family? The lack of confidence that comes from each player not knowing just how well they would stack up against athletes from all over Texas.
The Bulldogs are seriously entertaining the idea of summer ball as well as providing players and staff the opportunity to earn compensation for the returning season and is inviting all athletes that want to be a part of a legendary organization.
