Southern Tier Tuesdays Grant Program **PLEASE VOTE**

Southern Tier Tuesdays - Click VOTE

Southern Tier Tuesdays (“STT”) mission is to advance community programming that promotes the needs, interests, education, and safety of the area’s population in the counties of the Binghamton, NY Designated Market Area and adjacent counties, including but not limited to:

Broome, Tioga, Chenango, Delaware, Susquehanna (PA), Bradford (PA), Otsego, Tompkins

STT will award a $2,000 grant each week to a 501(c)3 organization that addresses the needs of area residents. The program aims to provide funds to groups that advance charitable, religious, artistic, and educational purposes in the target counties.  Grants may be considered in areas outside of the target counties at the discretion of the nomination committee.

Grants will be awarded weekly and announced on WBNG 12 News.  Grant nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis through southerntiertuesdays.com.  Twelve nominee organizations will be selected each month of the program by a committee of members representing Weitsman Shredding, LLC, WBNG 12 News, and MediaBrush Marketing.  The number of committee members may increase at the discretion of the program. Grant recipients will then be selected by popular vote on southerntiertuesdays.com.  No purchase is necessary to enter.

STT is solely funded by personal contributions from Mr. Adam Weitsman, owner of Weitsman Shredding, LLC which is located in Owego, NY.  Mr. Weitsman is dedicated to helping these communities and considers it a personal responsibility and privilege.

In consideration of a grant from the STT, any nominee, participant or recipient agrees to protect, defend, indemnify and hold harmless the STT, its organizers, underwriters, volunteers and affiliates, from and against any demand and causes of action of any kind and character, including but not limited to the amount of judgments, penalties, interest, court costs and legal fees incurred by the STT arising in favor of any party, including claims, liens, debts, personal injuries, death or damage by enumeration, all other claims or demands of every character occurring or in any way incident to, in connection with or arising directly from this grant or the use thereof.

 OUR PHILOSOPHY

1. To encourage fairness, compassion, honesty and cooperation through recreational activities;

2. To encourage a respect for authority and a respect for the dignity of others;

3. To encourage sportsmanship and self-control in the face of adversity;

4. Principles of fair play and sportsmanship govern all games, practices, and scrimmages;

 OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of BCCYO is to provide the highest quality programs to our young people. The administration and staff of BCCYO will do everything in our power to act in the best interest of our participants and our programs. BCCYO has the final authority to make all decisions regarding player eligibility and rules and regulations.
